If you follow the Chinese carbon bike industry, you’re probably familiar with SEKA. It has stirred up the waters with a unique seat tube design that implements the WindEye structure in their SEKA Spear. Spear is a road frame, but this year at Eurobike 2025, SEKA introduced a gravel frame called the Exaero GR. If you are wondering, the “GR” stands for “gravel race”.

While it’s not yet ready for final production, it’s already clear that it could be one of the most popular Chinese gravel framesets. It takes the best of the SEKA Spear and adds a few more improvements.

Not much information is known about the Exaero GR at this time. Anyway, at Eurobike, a frame with a beautiful paint job was on display, and also a fully built bike. The frame looks almost like a road frame, features a relatively deep fork and head tube to improve aerodynamics. It also has a more aggressive, racing geometry.

SEKA also teamed up with Fidlock, whose system makes this frame use magnetic bottle holders. The bottle cages are aero to leverage the “dead space” above the bottom bracket area, further improving the aerodynamics. Underneath the front bottle holder, there is also an extra hidden storage for spare tubes and other tools.

The Exaero GR uses a T47 bottom bracket, is UDH compatible, and should weigh around 920g. The tire clearance is 56mm (front) and 52mm (rear). The price has not been revealed yet, but I expect it to be priced somewhere around $3000, similar to the SEKA Spear. The European distributor currently has it priced at โ‚ฌ2999, but the price is subject to change. I also expect it will be available in non-RDC and RDC versions. It should be officially launched in late October or November.

Hi Petr! Thanks for the video, up to now it is the best capture of Seka Exaero. Are you sure about the T47 external BB, so the 68mm bottom bracket with external cups (as was mentioned in the video)? I was told it is rather T47 internal with 85mm bottom bracket, similar to Trek solution… Many thanks! Ondrej
