I’ve already tested Cycplus AS2, AS2 PRO, and AS2 PRO MAX electric inflators. Cycplus recently introduced an improved version of the AS2 PRO, Cycplus AS2 Ultra. So in this review, you will learn how it compares and whether it’s worth your consideration.
KEY TAKEAWAY
Cycplus AS2 Ultra is 33g (25%) lighter than the AS2 PRO but provides the same maximum pressure. The battery life is a bit shorter. It should allow you to inflate 25mm tires from 0 to 80 PSI three times and 28mm tires from 0 to 80 PSI two times. Unlike the AS2, it has a display for setting the exact pressure and is similarly compact. Since electric inflators are not so widespread in our country yet, I always surprise my friends when I rescue them from a flat tire with it. Continue reading for more info or order it here.

Cycplus AS2 Ultra Inflation Test
The official claim is that the AS2 Ultra should inflate 700×25 mm tires to 100-110 PSI in 60-120 seconds. So, I brought my old wheel from the basement and started measuring.
Inflation was not as quick as with a floor pump. With it, I can inflate to this pressure in about half the time, but I have to do the work. With the AS2 Ultra, I don’t have to do anything–just wait.
The AS2 Ultra inflated to 100 PSI in 148 seconds, which surprised me because it was almost twice as slow as it took me to inflate the same pressure with the AS2 PRO. It was also about 28 seconds slower than the claimed inflation time. I tried it several times and also checked for leaks, but I always got similar results. This was a bit disappointing.
Cycplus AS2 Ultra Accuracy Tests
The AS2 Ultra has a small display that shows the inflation pressure. According to specifications, their accuracy is ±1 PSI. I don’t have a manometer, so I could not double-check the accuracy. But here is a handy tip: Be careful when detaching the inflator from the valve to avoid air leaks.

Cycplus AS2 Ultra Pros & Cons
Below, I summarize AS2 Ultra pros and cons compared to the other electric inflators from the AS2 series.
Cycplus AS2 Ultra Pros
- Small dimensions allow me to store it in a saddlebag
- Effortless inflation
- Good battery life
- Display showing the inflated pressure
- Protective silicone case and waterproof bag included
- Compatible with Schrader and Presta valves
- USB-C charging port
Cycplus AS2 Ultra Cons
- Pricier than mini bike pumps
- Noisy inflation
- Short battery life
- No IPX6 resistance
- No display showing the inflated pressure
- Longer inflation time than with AS2 PRO
The Cycplus AS2 Ultra offers several advantages compared to the mini AS2. It has a longer battery life and display. On the other hand, its dimensions make it harder to fit into small saddle bags. I like that the AS2 Ultra also comes with a silicone case that protects it against damage from everything I store in my saddlebag, such as Allen keys.

Luckily, I don’t get punctures often, but everybody is in awe when I or somebody else does, and I pull out this mini pump. Many cyclists still don’t know electric pumps, so they are surprised that they can inflate tires differently than with a CO2 inflator or a mini pump.
On the other hand, you have to remember to keep it charged, and if you have a leaking puncture, its battery life might not last for repeated inflation. The Cycplus AS2 Ultra is also pricier than mini bike pumps and much noisier. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have IPX6 resistance, so avoid spraying it with water and use the included waterproof bag just in case water leaks into your saddlebag.
My Verdict
Cycplus AS2 Ultra is an excellent alternative to mini bike pumps or CO2 inflators because it fits in your saddle bag thanks to its small size. On the other hand, its short battery life allows you to inflate 28mm road tires only twice to 80 PSI, making it impossible to inflate your tires several times if you have a slow puncture.
So, in the end, you choose between the convenience of the AS2 Ultra e-pump and the lower weight and repeatable use of a mini pump. I will start using it as my go-to mini pump instead of the AS2 because of its display, despite the fact that the AS2 Ultra inflates slower than the AS2 PRO.
