In this Cycplus AS2 (Cube) review, I share my experience with this Eurobike award-winning electric inflator and compare it with its more powerful models like the AS2 PRO and AS2 PRO MAX.
KEY TAKEAWAY
Cycplus AS2 is a handy electric pump that can inflate your tires if you get a flat on the road. Thanks to its small size, it fits in your saddle bag, so you won’t have to carry a mini pump or CO2 with you. On the other hand, it has no pressure indicator, and its battery life is very limited, as it only allows it to inflate 28mm tires twice from 0 to 80 PSI. Cycplus AS2 Inflation Test
I was curious whether the official claim that the AS2 can inflate 700×25 mm tires to 60 PSI in 60 seconds was true. So, I pulled my old wheels out of the basement and began the test.
Inflation was not as quick as with a floor pump. With a floor pump, I can inflate to this pressure in about half the time, but I have to do the work. With the AS2, I don’t have to do anything–just wait.
In 60 seconds, the AS2 generated enough pressure for a comfortable ride back home. Watch the following video for reference.
Cycplus AS2 Accuracy Tests
Since the AS2 does not display inflation pressure, the inflation accuracy test is not applicable. The AS2 is intended as a rescue, not an inflator for inflating tires to the correct pressure.

Cycplus AS2 Pros & Cons
After using the AS2 for some time now, I summarize its pros and cons as follows:
Cycplus AS2 Pros
- Small dimensions allow me to store it in a saddle bag
- Effortless inflation
- Protective silicone case included
- Compatible with Schrader and Presta valves
- USB-C charging port
Cycplus AS2 Cons
- Pricier than mini bike pumps
- Noisy inflation
- Short battery life
- No IPX6 resistance
- No display showing the inflated pressure
The Cycplus AS2 offers several advantages. Its small size allows you to store it easily in a saddlebag, making it handy in case of a puncture. The AS2 also comes with a silicone case that protects it against damage from other items you store in a saddlebag.
Inflating your tires is effortless, and you don’t have to spend time pumping manually. The pump works with Schrader and Presta valves, fitting various bike types.
However, there are some drawbacks. The Cycplus AS2 is pricier than mini bike pumps. It’s also pretty noisy during inflation. The battery life is also short, so it can only inflate a few tires and needs to be recharged frequently. Unfortunately, it lacks IPX6 resistance, so avoid using it in heavy weather or immersing it in water. Moreover, it doesn’t have a display showing the tire pressure in real-time, which might inconvenience users who prefer that feature.
My Verdict
Cycplus AS2 is an excellent alternative to mini bike pumps or CO2 inflators because its small size allows it to fit in your saddle bag. On the other hand, its short battery life only allows it to inflate a 28mm road tire twice to 80 PSI, making it unsuitable for multiple inflations if you have a slow puncture.
So, in the end, you have to choose between the convenience of the AS2 e-pump and the lower weight and repeatable use of a mini pump.
