Farsports released its 2025 wheelset lineup on the day of the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival. According to rumors, these wheels should be “game changers” in terms of performance and affordability. Based on their specs and Farsports’ reputation, they have the potential to disturb the market. So, what’s new?
Farsports 2025 S Series
The S Series is priced at $1299. It’s available in three rim depths:
- S3 [35mm] (Climbing-Focused)
- S5 [50mm] (All-rounded)
- S6 [58mm] (Aero-Focused)
The S Series has carbon spokes. You can choose from different freehub bodies compatible with Shimano 11-speed (12-speed ready) and SRAM XDR systems. You can also pay a premium for CeramicSpeed bearings, but I honestly don’t think they are worth it (read this steel vs. ceramic bearings comparison for more info).
Farsports 2025 C Series
The C Series is for riders looking for a more budget-friendly option. It starts at $1099 and is available in the same rim depths and freehub body options. The only difference is that it uses steel spokes and is slightly heavier. You can also pay more for CeramicSpeed bearings. I recommend reading my Farsports C5 review. It will help you decide if they are worth it (spoiler alert: they probably are!).

Both the S and C series feature Farsports’ in-house-designed ratchet hub system and orange freehub bodies. They are only available for disc brakes. Additionally, they have no spoke holes, allowing you to use them without tubeless rim tape (unlike the previous generation).

As you can see from the table above, the specifications, especially the weight, are pushing the boundaries of Chinese road carbon wheels even further. Most other brands offer wheels that are 200g heavier on average in this price range. Based on its reputation (and my experience with the Farsports Ventoux S), Farsports makes high-quality wheels you can rely on.
Additionally, you can use my code CYCLISTSHUB to get $30 off. This makes the price/weight/value ratio a bit more exciting.
I am sure these wheels will bite into the Elitewheels DRIVE and Lún HYPER market share, as these are currently some of the most popular wheelsets. I can’t wait to start riding the C5 series I’ve received for testing. Here are a few pictures from my in-house photoshoot.
