Although Winspace gave us a sneak peek of the SLC 3.0 already at the Shanghai Bike Show and T1550 Gen 2 in women’s races, they didn’t officially unveil these frames until Eurobike 2024.
In this article, I quickly summarise how they differ from the previous generations. You can find a full comparison of all Winspace frames here. I added a time stamp to my following report from Eurobike, where I talked about SLC 3.0 and T1550.
Winspace SLC 2.0 vs. 3.0: What’s New?
In short, the SLC 3.0 should weigh 700g in size M (unpainted). It’s 80g lighter than the SLC 2.0. This weight reduction is achieved by using premium materials. Instead of T700 and T800 carbon fibers, Winspace used T1000 and T1100 carbon fibers.
As with most new frames, the SLC 3.0 should be stiffer. The head tube stiffness is improved by 31.8%, and the bottom bracket shell is 36% stiffer.
The SLC 3.0 also features a redesigned geometry, which Winspace claims is more comfortable. However, details about the geometry are not yet released. I believe the transition from standard seat stays to dropped seat stays will have a greater impact on comfort by better absorbing road vibrations.
Interestingly, the SLC 3.0 uses a round 27.2mm seat post, unlike other Winspace models that use a proprietary seat post.
The SLC 3.0 is also sleeker, thanks to the sealed-through axles. We’ve seen this trend with the T1550, C5, and Agile frameworks.
Considering how much the price of Winspace road frames have increased (the disc SLC 2.0 was $1580), I expect a price of around $1990 without the integrated Winspace Zero SL cockpit. Is that the price you would be willing to pay for a lightweight frame? Let me know in the comments.

Winspace T1550 vs. T1550 Gen 2: What’s New?
The T1550 is Winspace’s aero frame and the first Chinese frame to reach World Tour cycling, thanks to the women’s Winspace team, which rode it in the 2024 La Vuelta Femenina.
The new generation is stiffer and lighter. Its weight has been reduced by 50 grams to 828g (size M, unpainted). This weight is quite low, considering it’s an aero frame.

Winspace made bold claims about the stiffness. They say the T1550 Gen 2 has a 36% stiffer rear triangle, a 33% stiffer head tube, a 7% stiffer bottom bracket, and a 3.7% increase in STR. Unfortunately, I haven’t had the chance to test the T1550, so I can’t comment on these changes.
There are also minor design changes, mainly sealed through axles. The head tube is 10mm longer on average for a more comfortable riding position.
Surprisingly, the price hasn’t increased and remains at $1780. Like the SLC 3.0, the T1550 Gen 2 does not have a rim brake option.
