I have a few new, very exciting details about the recently introduced Winspace T1600. I’m happy to tell you that the estimated price of the T1600 and the launch date were wrong! And we also have wind-tunnel data. So, let’s dive into everything new we know now.

Cheaper than Expected: Winspace T1600 Price and Details Revealed!
New details about the T1600 revealed

First, the frame is officially launched to the rest of the world. This is great news because I expected we would wait for it for at least a few more months. Second, the T1600 doesn’t cost $3000 as I estimated, but “only” $2400. But, there is a “but,” and in the end, I was not that far from the truth. The new “Kevlar” cockpit is rumored to cost an additional $399. So that’s almost $2800. Compared to Western brands, this is cheap; compared to other Chinese brands, this is a pretty steep price.

The T1600 was tested against the T1550 Gen 2 with the Winspace ZERO SL handlebar in Japan’s Fuji Aero Performance Centre wind tunnel. The T1600 (with Kevlar handlebar) should be 5.5W faster at 48kph. So, if you were to race a 100 km race at this speed, you would save 160 seconds. I’m wondering whether the aero gains are thanks to the cockpit, the thinner head tube, the D-type intake, or a combination of all. You can see the results below.

The additional details include that the T1600 is UCI-approved and that the weight of 900g in M-size (unpainted) is now confirmed. We also now have an English geometry chart:

IMO too expensive. For that money you can get a Propel Advanced Pro frame or something similar or go for a fully built Ultegra Cube or Canyon aero bike instead. For that kind of money I want Seka Spear, Incolor Intropy Speedster or Evolve Cima levels of aero testing + light weight. If you want a full blown Chinese aero frame the Bross Zenith Plume is a better option for less money.
